Our Mission

AND IN THE BEGINNING . . .

The Lord has erected this ministry under the banner of “New York Deliverance Gospel Temple, Inc.” in 1991, through the leadership of Apostle Ira Davison, Sr.   The great work of this servant of God has become imbedded within his spirit and has transformed the impossible to the very possible work of the Lord.

THE FAVOR OF GOD

Prior to taking occupancy at the once known Queens Theatre on October 2, 1993, the Lord laid upon the heart of Bishop Roy E. Brown to render us his edifice for worship for approximately two years.  We are forever grateful to Archbishop Brown for his undying love to befriend not only the man of God, but for embracing the vision on behalf of our leader, Apostle Ira Davison, Sr.

CITADEL OF PRAISE

What you see before you is nothing to be compared to what initially was.  This now “holy” edifice was once occupied by many flagrant and illicit acts of sin.  This old movie theatre once housed pornography in its most graphic sense of the word, but its walls have now become saturated with the word of God and has become a citadel of praise and worship.  This theatre gave performances of seductive dancers and actors, but now has become an arena that has Holy Ghost filled, foot-stomping, tongue-talking, “shabaching” saints of the Most High God.  Where bouncers once met you at the door to invite you into a cesspool of sin, you are now greeted by the anointed men and women of God, who have the power to rebuke the devourer in Jesus’ name.

NO WEAPON FORMED “AGAINST US” SHALL PROSPER

So, for the past seventeen years, through the leadership of Apostle Ira Davison, Sr., we have worked together as one to see that the vision of our leader prevails.  This neighborhood has not been the same since we’ve occupied this building.  We know that no weapon formed against this ministry, against the man of God, against the servants of God, against the works of God, against the plan of God, against the power of God, against the anointed of God . . . shall prosper.  Amen!
